Rob’s Story

Rob’s enthusiasm for life is contagious. Overcoming many obstacles himself, he understands the immense challenges that people regularly face and is passionate about helping others live happier and more free and fulfilling lives. He intuitively understands people and utilises his diverse expertise to help relieve pain and discomfort and resolve issues.

Rob is a qualified physical therapist and psychotherapist, specialising in posture. He is a full member of the Association of Coaching with an MA in Education specialising in Mentoring and Coaching and uniquely combines his diverse skills to fully consider every factor influencing a situation, treating mind and body for great results.

Rob has had an extremely varied and interesting employment history. His early years included being a farmhand, trained falconer, equestrian groom, barman/waiter, retail and customer services assistant, personal valet, aerobics instructor and departmental manager in fashion, travel incentives and carpet and flooring distribution companies.

After a stint of traveling around the United States and Sri Lanka (home of the Rob Holcroft Award for Voice and Speech), he returned to the UK and worked in the field of Health and Safety and ran his own landscape gardening business before attending Drama School, subsequently working as a professional actor and director for several years. His more exciting projects saw him touring with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and working out in Hollywood, Los Angeles for a few years as a writer and director.

While at Drama School, Rob achieved a silver-medal in advanced stage fighting with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat. This unusual skill led him into teaching in further and higher education for 12 years where, alongside his teaching role, Rob became a subject mentor on a University’s teacher training programme, later qualifying as a subject learning coach with LSIS (Learning and Skills Improvement Service) to support educators.

After leaving teaching, Rob was the resident physical therapist and life coach on an international anxiety recovery retreat and workshop programme, for four and a half years. As well as his private practice in Worcestershire, Rob is now an associate consultant for Sitra in London, Ford Stanley Genius in Derby and Acorn Support and Source & Effect in the Midlands. He is also a regular contributor at ITV Central and BBC Radio.

Rob is a proud pug owner and huge fan of superheroes!
